Helichrysum Italicum is an essential oil most notably used for its benefits to the skin. By adding a few drops to your favorite moisturizer, you have a cure all for the skin which rivals, and in many cases surpasses, the effects of the chemical alternatives. Helichrysum Italicum oil is a great way to help your skin look its best by reducing wrinkles, healing rashes, burns, and even noticeably reducing scar tissue. Even the word helichrysum is greek for “golden sun”. Now if that doesn’t sound radiant, nothing does.
In addition to its near magical benefits for your skin, Helichrysum Italicum oil is a great way to boost circulation of fresh blood in the body, which in turn helps remove toxins and reduce arthritis and rheumatism. The oil is also anti allergenic, and works to reduce swollen lymph glands.
A European herb native to France, Italy and a few neighboring countries, the flowers and leaves of Helichrysum Italicum are steam distilled to create a pure essential oil. In its pure form, it is thin and clear, and has a green, sweet musky smell.
